Dirty truck enroute to Silver Mountain

1999 GMC Suburban 1500 4x4

Suburbans are the ultimate ski vehicle for long range, high capacity trips, or anytime you dont want to hit anything bigger than you. Other companies have tried to copy the Suburban and failed miserably...Fords, Dodges, Internationals...even Lincolns and Cadillacs...have all come and gone (and come again), but the Suburban still remains the best large SUV money can buy. GM has been building Suburbans since 1935 so they know what they are doing. This one is especially suited to long trips in snow. Some of the standard features include a 350 fuel injected engine, four wheel drive (auto, high, and low), antilock brakes, heated six way leather seats, rear heat and A/C, dual front airbags, heated electric autodimming rearview mirrors, and daytime running lights. Added features include PIAA fog/driving lights, Hellwig anti-sway bars, Trailmaster SSV shocks, Nokia Happakaliita LT 10 studded snow tires on American Racing wheels, a huge Packasport rocket box and a Fiamma F35 Pro sport awning on a Thule rack, dual gel cell batteries, a Warn 9000i winch in a cradle with slide in receivers and power at the front and back of the truck, Sony Vaio internet ready laptop computer with DVD theatre and DeLorme mapping and GPS receiver, On-Star integrated cellular phone with GPS tracking, am/fm/cd/10 cd changer with 650 watts of Rockford-Fosgate amps hooked to two 15 inch Rockford-Fosgate Punch subwoofers in a custom made bandpass box, Whistler power inverter for 110 volt ac power, refrigerator/hotbox, DEI Python alarm with remote starter, Tekonsha trailer brakes, deer whistles, and a bunch of other junk. The Suburban gets about 20mpg at a cruising speed of 80mph@2500rpm. Top speed is better than 110mph on 265/75R16 size tires. The GMC is mine (Avondell).
